Wheels

My husband and I enjoy going to watch sprint cars race.

These super fast cars can do a half mile dirt track at about 120 MPH..

and this wheel belongs to one of the coolest

trucks I have ever seen.



Collection

I collect angels... i really don't  have many

a I don't really like clutter...

but you will find them scattered

throughout our home. 

I guess you can say we literally

have angels watching over us.



Kitchen Utensil

One of my favorite subjects! I am a foodie! I love shopping

The East Village where I live.....

it is just down the steps from our city capital steps.

they have so many specialty stores one of them being a kitchen gadgets

store and a spice store. Where you can buy more spices

than you can imagine in bulk.

My favorite kitchen utensil (um-hum..next to my

KitchenAid that I already photographed and any pampered chef or

Cuisinart item that I don't yet own. 

I love my wisk! It really should have it's own drawer in my kitchen! :)

Without this little handy dandy item ... my household would be lumpy!



F*L*U*F*F*Y!

This is one of our cats her name is Oreo!

she is quite fluffy and loveable.

She likes on hang out on our bed!  LOL

Freeeeee Choice....

Today I have decided to add a pic of the city I live in..

I live in the city of Des Moines IA USA

this is a picture of our downtown ..

Abbie and I had originally went to see if we could spot

any Eagles diving for fish along the river ..

but there were none to be found.

humm.. First when I saw the prompt I thought of our lazy momma cat..

who sleeps 23.5 hours a day!  but I thought humm..

so this is the lake that be down from our house..

right now due to winter it is pretty

motionless

Motion

I had to use a photo I had taken this past fall when

my daughter Rachel was home....

we had drove to the country to go to the

Pumpkin Patch to get pumpkins for Halloween!

I found out tonight she will be home next

Wednesday!  That gave me a lot of

happy emotion!

Hot!

I found 2 things hot which is hard to do since

we had freezing rain this morning.

First are my Red Hots candy - that I love :)

and the other is the sign on my water heater

advising me that the water that comes out

is very hot!





Glowing!

It took me all day to find something glowing.. than on our way home

this is the glowing reflection of the sleet any my street lights in my neighborhood.

this is my dashboard in my car glowing all the stats!

It is hard to believe my car is

only 3 years old and has 86225 miles on it!

whew.. I drive a lot. {240 miles a week for work} but

I love my car!



Fire Fire Fire~

Word of the day is Fire!

I get great pleasure baking and making people happy with my baking.

I love my KitchenAid is a much as my Cricut (shhhh...)

The other day I made focaccia and took it work to share with the

people in my office.. YUM!
focaccia dipped in olive oil with fresh parmesan and cracked pepper!

Tonight I made Cream Puffs with a chocolate ganache

for dessert for my family.

We had extras so I shared them with one of my neighbors too

(glad I did.. she had a bad day and it brought her great pleasure too)



Naughty!!

Mother Nature was NAUGHTY this morning..

making it a nasty commute to the office.

Good thing I didnt have to be in until 10am!  :)



Snack

I was really after a Suzie-Q!

But the machine didnt' have any! UGH!

So I got some Ho-Ho's! yummy with my Mt. Dew!

and here is the gorgous sunrise I saw on my way to work this morning.

Amazing ... that just behind me are hundreds of houses and the city!

I love living at the edge of town!

I went to dinner with my parents - we have a restaurant here called F&O's they

have some of the best pizza ever.. the pieces are also so generous you only need one.

This is my share of the left overs!  :) Lunch tomorrow or midnight snack tonight.

Whichever... it will be delish!

And yes those are still Christmas stockings you see in the background... LOL 

My oldest daughter lives in California and won't be home until the 1st part of February..

I am leaving the tree up until she gets home :)

Godiva Chocolates...YUMM-O!

I admit I had to pull a pic from the web as my honey finished

the box we had in the house and I havent made it to the mall

to get more!!  But I absolutly LOVE Godviva Chocolates.

(he needs to just be greatful it wasn't the other fridge we use for overflow or extras..

that is mostly beer, pop {pepsi} and chocolate)

Translucent

This is a picture of one of our government buildings where I live.. this is the Wallace Building...

at night if the lights are on inside you can see inside the building making the windows  translucent!

These are my beautiful mittens...I bought them on a weekend get-away

 to the Colorado Rockies with my honey... it was 70 in Boulder

but by the time we got into the moutains it was cold. We walked on a lake

that had 50 feet on snow packed on top of it! And watched a family build a

snowman on the lake!  :) But when ever we go on trips I started to buy useful

items to use...this was one of the purchases .. now everytime I wear them

 I think of our weekend get-away! By the way today I had to get them out ... it is only 25 F today! Burr cold.

I was driving my daughter to school this morning and we drove past this Church with this beatiful steeple...and a gorgous clear blue sky! :)

The kitchen sink! Not much exciting happens here! I don't do dishes! lol That is what dishwashers and wonderful husbands are for!  :)
